“Cherepaka” significa tortuga en las lenguas eslavas orientales. Compuesta por caparazón y carne, la Tortuga carga consigo la dualidad entre la eternidad de su coraza y lo efímero de su carne. Cherepaka retrata la muerte de una tortuga y evoca la tensión que habita al ser humano entre su búsqueda del infinito y la mortalidad de su carne animal.

“Cherepaka” means “turtle” in the East Slavic languages. Composed of a shell and flesh, the turtle embodies the duality between the eternity of its shell and the transience of its flesh. Cherepaka depicts the death of a turtle and evokes the tension that exists within human beings between their quest for the infinite and the mortality of their physical bodies.
